Kurukshetra, 05 June 2026: On the occasion of World Environment Day, Kurukshetra Panorama & Science Centre (KPSC), a unit of the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), Ministry of Culture, Government of India, inaugurated its new 7D Theatre Facility.
The facility was inaugurated by Prof. Brahmjeet Singh, Director, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kurukshetra, in the presence of Prof. Sunil Dhingra, Director, University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET) as the Guest of Honour.
The 7D Theatre is a fully indigenous facility conceptualized, designed, and developed by NCSM using its in-house expertise. It combines 3D visuals, motion-synchronized seating, and seat vibration effects to provide visitors with an immersive and interactive viewing experience.
The featured film, "Save Our Species – Jungle Safari," takes visitors on an exciting journey through forests, rivers, oceans, and mountains while highlighting biodiversity, wildlife conservation, and environmental protection. Through realistic visuals and immersive effects, the film encourages visitors, especially young learners, to appreciate nature and contribute towards conserving our planet.
The addition of the 7D Theatre further strengthens the Centre's commitment to promoting science education through innovative and engaging technologies.
